It all started
on Route 66!
“From Chicago to LA!”
Two friends, countless laughs, a few wigs, and a shared passion for comedy—The 66 Kicks was born over coffee at Cirque in downtown Tulsa in the fall of 2024.
When Cody Mayo, a professional film and TV actor and improviser from Los Angeles, moved to Tulsa to open a studio offering top-tier industry training, serendipity brought him together with Ryan “Arch” Archibald. Arch, a Chicago native and 20-year improv veteran, had also recently relocated to Tulsa after an illustrious career with iO, Annoyance, and The Second City Chicago as a faculty member, director, and performer.
A little bit of Chicago and LA met in Tulsa—the heart of Route 66!
Together, they launched CMSimprov, a professional improv training conservatory designed to rival the country’s best. But they didn’t stop there—they had a bigger vision: to bring Oklahoma a professional improv comedy experience on par with the iconic shows of LA, New York, and Chicago.
And so, The 66 Kicks was born! With a handpicked cast of Oklahoma’s funniest comedians, they’ve crafted a completely improvised show that’s as sharp as it is hilarious.
Buckle up, Tulsa—this is improv comedy like you’ve never seen before!
